Candy Jacobs (1990) is on the forefront of female skateboarding. Flabbergasted after winning a world skate tournament despite being a casual skater, she gave up her job and now skates tournaments full time. She lives to inspire others to get off their asses and onto a skateboard. Don’t let the rebellious look fool you. She has a heart of gold.
“Go Do” is the ultimate summary of Candy’s message: ‘Get off your ass and do something’. The film explores her struggles and victories as one of the biggest names in women's skateboarding today.
Feast your eyes on her skate performance at the Street League London 2019, hear her speak at Pushing Boarders Malmö, and watch her build a skatepark in Venlo with her very own hands.
“Go Do” is about the will of a single person. It’s about leaving a legacy and inspiring others, and about using and recognizing the opportunities you have to leave the world a better place.
